As a church we want to help impact families for Christ and do everything we can to empower and come along side each household. At Legacy Youth we do that through ministering to and working alongside the youth in our church. We are Legacy because we know that we are a part of a greater body of believers. We know that there are hundreds of people who have helped shape and guide all of the youth and passed down faith from generation to generation. We choose to continue that legacy in making Christ the biggest priority, passing on what he has done in us, through us and to all those around; in our homes, schools, and community.
"And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought.”
1 Chronicles 28:9a
Our Wednesday services start at 6:30PM and run until 7:45.
Our youth meet by age group, 6-8th grade and 9-12th grade. Our Jr. High service starts in our Worship Center at 6:30 and ends in the Youth Room located on the East side of the building. Our Sr. High service starts in the Youth Room at 6:30 and ends in our Worship Center. Each service will have a similar point and scripture reference but will vary in style to help engage each student.
Our worship is student lead and everyone is encouraged to engage and express themselves freely, as we truly want to honor God in that time.
Our sermons are specific and relevant for teens and end with a challenge to take what was learned and apply it to every day life, with the goal of growing together towards Christ.
// Ministries & Events
Our youth take part in dozens of events and ministries throughout the year. From our weekly Bible study and youth services, to camps and youth convention, there is always something going on and lots of opportunities to get involved and have fun. For the last several years specifically we have joined with multiple other churches from the state in the annual Chicago Outreach, lead by Cal Thompson out of Fargo, ND. We are looking forward to another great year, expecting God to move in ways that only he can!
